With the generous sponsorship of Crowell & Moring, CBLA organized a seminar and panel discussion entitled “China’s New Antitrust Law, a Global Perspective.” The event was held at Crowell & Moring’s New York office on September 10, 2009.
The panel was composed of the following legal practitioners who are experts in the antitrust laws of different jurisdictions: Robert Lipstein and Olivier Antoine of Crowell & Moring, Jonathan Pan of King & Wood, and Peter Glossop of Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt. After Jonathan Pan gave an overview of China’s antimonopoly law, the panelists discussed the interpretation, enforcement and impact of the new law from various perspectives, drawing from their expertise in different jurisdictions including China, United States, European Union and Canada.
The seminar drew an audience of over 60 people, including attorneys, law students and non-legal professionals. Crowell & Moring provided food, facilities and personnel services for the seminar.
