Event: Fireside Chat with Ko-Yung Tung

This month's Fireside Chat will feature Ko-Yung Tung, Senior Counselor resident in Morrison & Foerster's New York office. Mr. Tung is an eminent international lawyer, practicing in both the public and private sectors. He counsels sovereign governments as well as multinational corporations and is a visiting lecturer at Yale Law School. Mr. Tung served as Vice President and General Counsel of the World Bank and as Secretary General of the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). Currently he serves as a board member of non-governmental organizations and academic centers, including The Morin Center for Banking and Financial Law at Boston University Law School, the London Forum of Economic Law and Development of the University of London, Human Rights Watch-Asia, and Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund. He is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the American Law Institute.  Mr. Tung will share with our members his experience and observations in both public and private sectors. We will discuss the political, legal and cultural issues related to cross-border investment and disputes, as well as the role of lawyers in advising sovereigns and multinational companies.
